Echo VR

Echo VR is a social competitive virtual reality title in which teams of four face off against each to score points and make epic team plays in an immersive zero gravity environment.

Responsibilities
  • Created, pitched, and executed on a plan for reward redistribution to players to show the team's appreciation for the playerbase in the wake of the shutdown announcement by Meta
  • Led a multidisciplinary team in creating desirable new types of player customization that accounted for both gameplay/player needs and fit within our artistic style
  • Coordinated with outsource art teams to ensure incoming assets for Echo Pass seasons accounted for gameplay/player needs and fit within our artistic style
  • Integrated the new rewards into existing systems, UI, and Echo Pass economy
  • Spearheaded the design and implementation of various social features to mitigate and reduce community toxicity
  • Supported design and implementation of a flexible, dynamic in-game shop that supported various item and bundle purchase configurations​
  • Created both one-page and more in depth design documents and wireframes that clearly outline new features for the team
  • Worked extensively with proprietary tools to design, document, and implement various features

The Under Presents blends immersive theater and virtual reality, allowing you to step into a VR world where you'll interact with other characters as well as other participants. It merges live actors and scripted performances with a narrative arc that centers on themes of time, fate and free will. - The Oculus Team

Responsibilities
  • Collaborated with the design team to create a multiplayer interaction system that encourages exploration and teamwork in a central hub space
  • Worked closely with engineers and artists to design and script levels for a virtual space inhabited by both players and live actors
  • Concepted and modeled characters, props, and environments
  • Implemented art assets using proprietary tools in Unity

wildbrew: elli's adventure

Wildbrew is a puzzle adventure game about a young herbalist witch and his quest to retrieve a stolen family heirloom from a giant, troublesome plant. Use ingredients found in the world around you to craft magic potions, solve puzzles, and discover hidden items in a wilderness with secrets around every corner.

  • Worked closely with the design and usability teams to iterate quickly on the design of the potion crafting system
  • Used proprietary tools to design and implement puzzle gameplay for collectible items
  • Concepted and modeled Elli, Grandma, and various other environment assets

Long Distance

Long Distance is a week-long real-time narrative game framed within the context of a chat application, developed for iOS and Android devices. 

​Through chats, voice messages, and photographs, Long Distance follows the reunion of an estranged group of friends whose secrets have called something bad across from "the other side". Your friends must confront the secrets they've been hiding, or else risk losing everyone they love.

​Responsibilities
  • Directed a team of six writers and engineers to create a playable prototype over the course of six months
  • Worked with writers to design a branching narrative with multiple paths and endings depending on player choices
  • Designed gameplay for a real-time interactive narrative system that still allowed for idleness to account for players' real lives
  • Met with the team for weekly scrums to check on each member's goals and progress, and discussed solutions for when deadlines could not be met

Cat-A-Pillar!

 Cat-A-Pillar is a deceptively simple card game for 3-6 players centered around fighting mutated elemental cat monsters. In order to win, players must get 9 limb cards for their own cat by stealing their opponents' limbs.
The game was featured on Buzzfeed before successfully Kickstarting in August 2016.​ It then went on to become an Indiecade 2016 Tabletop Select.

Responsibilities
  • Led a team of 3 in designing, prototyping, and shipping a publisher-ready game
  • Planned and managed marketing strategy and social media for a successful Kickstarter campaign
  • Designed and illustrated all art assets for the game, including 18 unique cards, the box art, and the instruction manual

FROM LIGHT

Use your camera to light-paint your own platforms, freeze objects in place and solve challenging free form puzzles, in search of your missing friend.  From Light is a 2D puzzle platformer built in Unity about traversing a dying planet using the power of light and photography.

Responsibilities
  • Designed levels and platforming-based puzzles
  • Worked with designers and artists to create modular 2D assets that anyone on the team could use
  • Worked with designers and user researchers to implement and dress environments for player navigation
  • Concepted all characters, and 3D modeled the player character
